Station 3: LOG WALK

Competitors are required to carry a log, weighing about 85kg, in each hand over a distance of 15 metres.
  • The competitor will only commence after the whistle blows.
  • The competitor must hold the logs by their handles and transport both logs at the same time.(ie. The competitor must carry and walk with 2 logs simultaneously. Throwing or swinging is not allowed.)
  • The competitor is allowed to place the logs down at any point to rest.
  • The competitor will be disqualified from the entire event if the logs fall outside his designated lane.
  • Timing will only be recorded at the point when both the competitor's legs (together with both logs) have crossed the finishing line.
A maximum of 5 minutes is given for each participant to complete this event. Competitors who fail to complete the stipulated distance within 5 minutes will be given a score with the maximum timing. The competitor is to stop once the whistle is blown, indicating that the time limit has been reached, so that officials can record the distance covered.
  • A maximum of 5 minutes will be given to each participant who gives up before the timing is up. The distance covered will then be recorded.
The distance covered will be measured from the starting point to the nearest point of either log closest to the starting line.
